We had a very busy first season. We learned so much this summer. We had to deal with spider mites, ground wasps, irrigation issues and LOTS of weeds during the rainy season. Through it all our plants did well, became happy in their new home and most grew very well. Out of the 680 we planted, we lost 9 of them. There are some that are pretty small, mainly our Maillette cultivar, so now we are moving into learning what to do during the winter season and praying they all make it through the chilly, windy weather we have at the farm. 
We had a great time at the Downtown Farmers Market in St. George, Utah this summer season selling our products. We met so many wonderful people that are as excited as we are to watch our farm grow.
We are now getting our next 1/4 acre ready for planting of another 600 plants next May. We will be adding 6 more different cultivars to our 5 that we have already. 
We have so many ideas that we want to do to the farm to be able to eventually have visitors at the farm. It will be a peaceful, fun experience once we are able to complete our future projects. In the meantime, "thank you for watching our farm grow"!
