Our Field 4 was cleared, turned over, weed blocked was laid and the drip system installed early in the year in anticipation for our own propagated lavender starts. We had a lot to learn about propagation, definitely not as easy as YouTube makes it look! We were able to plant maybe 15% of field 4 with three different tries at propagation. Hopefully, with what we have learned, field 4 will be filled late the summer of 2022, if all goes well.
In early spring we installed an irrigation system and planted drought tolerant grass in our Meadow area, in anticipation of our very first Yoga Retreat that was scheduled in June. The Yoga Retreat was a wonderful time for all and it was an honor sharing the farm with so many great people. We also built an outhouse with a flushing toilet, for our visitors to the farm; lumber pricing is through the roof! The Utah local newspaper (The Spectrum) visited the farm and wrote a story about us just in time to let people know that we open the farm to the public through the lavender Bloom season which is June and July! Bloom season was magical! We had more visitors to the farm than we ever expected. We set up our store for shopping of our products under a shade cover. Our visitors walked the fields, shopped, picnicked in the Meadow and creek areas. A beautiful, wonderful, relaxing time for all. We had volunteers help us with the harvest and hopefully we can expand our volunteers for our 2022 harvest. There is nothing like experiencing first-hand the harvesting of lavender in beautiful nature. Thank you, everyone, that helped us in the fields and supported us and our products, at the farm, on-line, on our website, at the Downtown Farmers Market at Ancestor Square in St. George Utah and a new venture for us is the Las Vegas, Nevada Farmers Markets throughout the winter months. We have been blessed. With God’s help and hard work anything is possible, especially through the hard times. We look forward to seeing you at the Farm in June & July 2022! Scott & Mary

2020 has been one crazy year! But at the farm it has been a season of gratitude. We have received so much help from friends and family, to help fill the limited work that I (Scott) could do, due to two shoulder surgeries.
I'm so grateful for Mary, she took up so much slack that I was unable to do, truly amazing woman and my loving wife. We planted field 3 in May with the help of friends and family, we couldn't have done it without you. 500 more lavender plants and 6 new cultivars were planted. We had a spectacular bloom season and we even opened the farm to the public throughout the bloom. We made new friends and appreciate every one of you that came to visit. Harvesting the lavender was a true challenge. The lavender does not wait on you and depending on the use, it must be harvested at a very specific time of the flowers development. Again, you guessed it, gratefulness and appreciation to friends and family pitching in and making the harvest perfect and right on the lavenders schedule! We are grateful for the Downtown Farmers Market in St. George, where Mary and I can meet our customers and become friends. There is nothing more humbling and satisfying then to have so many repeat customers and getting to know them. Be sure to visit and see all the local Artisan and Farmers products. Buy local whenever you can. So much to be grateful for, especially you for helping and watching our farm grow. Thank you! Scott & Mary The summer of 2019 was beyond our expectations! Our one year old plants bloomed and bloomed. When you are told that the plants will double in size their first year and that we would have a little bit to play with we were not expecting much, especially whey they were little tiny plants in 2 1/2” pots. We were overjoyed to say the least. We harvested until the end of July with lots of fresh bundles. We were able to distill all 5 of the cultivars - Maillette, Wyckoff, Impress Purple, True Grosso and Super. They each have their own beautiful distinct aroma. At the beginning of the season we started with a 40 liter Copper Alembic still for distilling of Essential Oils and by mid-season we bought a 200 liter still so we could keep up!
